Getting estimates on Insurance

@Archer, sorry to hear that mate. Maybe it's time to switch brokers (again)? :\

You misunderstood :) I'm perfectly happy with Outsurance

My opinion on insurance is you need to find that one company who's risk profile of you is lower than everyone else, and who's service you are happy with. For me thats the insane company :p

I'm also very happy with Outsurance, and I have been with them since they started.
I had one claim last year, and was paid out within a day.

Go through a broker if you can. They earn their commission off you but 9/10 times you will be better off and end up saving money. Plus, it's easier to know you can go to someone in person if you have a query than speak to tens of mindless telesales drones to get to the correct department...

+1 I'm with Alexander Forbes and they were by far the cheapest.

On topic, My first car was a black golf, when I phoned the insurance they told me that if I had bought a white golf my premium would have been R300 less, if I had bought a Corsa it would have been another R300 less. So if you did find a service who would entertain your queries on all sorts of car combinations that would be pretty useful.
