I've been a loyal WA customer since 2006. Every time I have topped up my various accounts with them - something I usually do almost every month, it has been instantly available, so this is something I have come to expect. If I need bandwidth, I top up, and voila, it's there.

So I needed more local and more intl bandwidth on Monday afternoon, so I top up, and since it's the end of the month and I've been paid, I pay my outstanding amounts, including the new topups I added.

Later that evening, I discover that my link is not working quite the way it should be, so I check my accounts. Topup failed. What the..? So I log a support ticket as urgent. Not a complete train smash as I still have intl bandwidth left, but no local. I get a response at 07h43 on Tuesday morning that the bandwidth has been activated on my accounts.

So fine, I continue quite happily. I'm now downloading a huge-ass 9gb patch for a game that I recently got, and typically the download server doesn't support resume. No biggie, my line has been stable for the past few days so no worries. Then I check my available bandwidth. I've downloaded 3gb so far, but I won't have enough bandwidth left to complete the download, so I add a few more gigs. Failed again. FFS!!!

So I've logged another support ticket as urgent, which I guess won't be looked at until tomorrow morning... by which time I've wasted all the data I've downloaded already.

Colour me not very happy right now. In fact, that MWeb uncapped is looking very inviting right now.

fwiw, I phoned the support line, who activated it for me. Apparently it failed for a whole R30 outstanding.
Not cool, considering the amounts I have been spending each month.

mine also failed on Monday afternoon on a credit card payment. No reason why it should have been delayed. Was finally activated about five hours later after numerous e-mails.

Hi thisgeek

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused regarding your topup issues.

I will be investigating the finer details as to why the topups failed. As you mentioned in your other post, there was an outstanding balance on your account. As far as I'm aware, your account needs to be squared up in order to topup your bandwidth.

Can you please PM me your client code in order for me to thoroughly investigate the situation.
