Getting Sentech’s MyWireless like pulling teeth

Sad to hear. I thought Sentech had sorted out their issues

Damn :( I just cancelled my contract with Autopage because they're charging R50 a month more than Sentech. I wanted to sign up with Sentech directly, but I don't want to experience all that!

:(

Update: I have just received my username-password. I think this forum post might have had something to do with it, but I am glad none the less.

rpm, if i decide to take out a contract (month-to-month obviously) with Sentech, I'll update this thread with the outcome.

I didn't purchase the modem from Sentech either....so I'm guessing that it will be a painful experience.

It will be interesting to see if the system has been ‘updated’. I hope your experience will be less troublesome than mine.

hmm, if/when i decide to call it a day and sell my sentech modem, i wouldn't want sentech to know all those details about the seller. i can see why they might be interested in it, but it none of their business really.
They're probably trying to protect their lucrative modem selling business...

Update: The username/password I was supplied with does not connect. Called support, they confirmed that there is a problem somewhere.

The saga continues...

Shame man. Sounds like you're really battling :(

If you think Sentech is bad...try dealing with AutoPage for MyWireless. The callcentre doesn't even know what it is.

Update: Connected at last. A few calls to support was needed, but at least I am able to do what needs to be done online now.

Double and triple

What poor service!

Now I wonder why they made such a big fuss and hoopla about the used modem?

After all, if the seller was legally entitled to sell off the modem, then Sentech can do nothing about it...

I mean, the cellphone you've got on Vodacom/MTN/CellC contract is yours after the contract terminates, and you can do with it just what you want. (as long as you don't have any outstanding debts with your service provider...) I sold my old one off after 6 months, and the buyer just plugged in a new SIM card (prepaid) and everybody's happy... vodacom gets a new user, I gets some pocket-money and buyer is happy to have a proper phone.

I'll be taking Sentech's offerings with a pinch of salt from now on.
