RPM or one of the mods here's just a quick idea.

Instead of having all these separate threads how bout making stickies for really popular ones?

For instance

Guildwars
eve-online
world of warcraft
battlefield 2
counterstickitupthe anty

That way a lot of the information can be more centralised than it's currently being done. Also removes a lot of possible duplication cause this month i might be recruiting for eve and 2 months later someone makes a thread bout getting recruited in eve.

Just a thought.

I was thinking some sub forums would be in order.
That way we wouldn't need to keep posting to the same thread all the time.
The BF2 thread, for example, is a real b1tch for a newbie to wade through, considering there's tons of useful info in amongst the cruft.

Good idea. Though considering the amount of games out there it can quite easily become a HUGE problem considering the amount of subs that will pop out. Therefore i was thinking limiting it to just threads.

Maybe possible idea for subs would be.

Console
MMORPG
RTS
FPS
RPG

That kind of thing?

Antowan any ideas?

I sent Antowan a PM with a link to this thread.

I don't think there needs to be a lot of sub forums - only for the most popular games at the moment that generate a lot of posts, such as WoW and BF2.

They can eventually be closed off when popularity dies down, and new ones opened.

Perhaps a poll should be started for a new sub forum whenever there's a new game around with lots of posts?

Eg, if a thread has more than say 100 posts, then a poll is started for a sub forum.

I kinda like it all mushed up like that.

If you compartmentalize everything you may not pick up a gem you would have otherwise missed. Like the 10 hours free Guildwars.

Personally i like stuff sorted out. For instance if i'm an idle browser i wouldn't know that a bunch of peeps actually play eve in south africa just by looking at the first couple of pages. If it was stickified in the Sub-Group MMORPGs then it would be easy to find out.

Good ideas. Will look into it and if all goes well it should be implimented soon. Keep an eye on this space...
