Getting to eBucks Level 5 with the new rules

You know it's really hard to jump through hoops, like having a bond, going on to the app once a month to check my rewards, 4 times a year to navigate home to see my bond and to have a budget setup. Really hard

No hoops jumped, other than taking 5 minutes a month to visit some sections on the app. And whatever I spend is things that I need to spend on anyway like groceries, bill payments and fuel.

If I spend more than the average person, it's not because of eBucks, it's because that's how much groceries and fuel I need to use. So maybe you can quantify how much the "average" person spends. Who TF thinks "I'll pay more rates & taxes just to get more eBucks"...

I think you're starting to sound like Benedict there, not understanding the meaning of words. No one is forcing you to do anything, in fact the whole ebucks thing isn't forcing anything on anyone. It is a rewards programme that is mostly free offered by the bank.
You don't have to do anything if you don't want any rewards, it's a reward not a given right. So there are two things that need to be explained to you reward and forced.

I've now made 5 purchases and each order has been a nightmare.
From leaking bottles, broken bags, changing delivery times because they are late, to a missing order that was delivered 30 hours later. I've had to reorder and pay again.
I continuously have out of stock orders, especially with products on special. I'm really very disappointed with the difference in service between the 2 companies. Might I also mention that they are far more expensive and can't compete with Che2ckers.

Apparently they suffer from the same delusion as you. Oh noes we're forced by a bank that gives us rewards for free to use a shop... Oh heavens to betsy what will we do
 
I wasn't happy initially with the Pick n Pay thing but they fixed the problems in the app and the prices are very similar to Checkers.

I make just over R3000 of ebucks per month and it's not that difficult to stay on level 5. It's a bit annoying that they change it every year though and don't update the calculator immediately. So once a year I have to manually check whether everything I'm doing will get me to level 5 and then the rest of the year it's on autopilot.

Most of the appliances in my home are bought with ebucks. It's worth it if you do it properly.

Oh but they forced you to make that 3000, they put a gun to your head... For the free rewards that is barely any hoops to jump. Don't you know they are terrible cause they forced you.

I have my HL with them, family accounts and easy to get to RL5 without any other products from them on PC.

Yeah it sucked to switch from Checkers to PnP but since we only buy our perishables at woolies, not too much of a problem to swap - helps that our PnP is decent too. The free delivery fee for Asap orders helps but that should stop soon. Definitely not bothering to go to the PnP Clothing to make the 20% there (some go there to make bill payments).

Make on average 3K (so 2.3K after FNB bank costs are subtracted) in ebucks a month - normally spent at Takealot and used a crap ton of them just before 30 June to buy a Mac Mini with ebucks from iStore. Still have 15K ZAR of ebucks available.

What has pissed me off is the extra R2 EFT charge over 10K per month to non FNB accounts, and no more free ewallets. I now have to pay extra so don't understand what the Fsck my R600 PC service fee is all about. Investec has been wanting to take all our personal business including the HL , so have a meeting with them soon. If it makes sense, moving. They already offering a better interest rate than my Prime - 0.75 I have on my HL.

Happy to ditch FNB. Definitely never playing the Discovery game even though my medical aid and now even retirement, life insurance has moved there with my previous company .
 
We can't discuss tech on the forum but we can discuss Pegging's mom. This place is a hellhole.

You may have failed to notice through your saltiness, but there are thousands of posts from MyBB members helping and discussing how to maximise your EBucks.

Why would you make this about you? Is it their problem that you don’t participate?
