I support the ban ,(keep the pepper sprays for girls ....)

I also suggest a 'covert' op to clean up illegal firearms ..

Does anyone know how effective the amnesty for illegal firearms was? Glock maybe? It took place a few years back. Only issue I saw with it was anyone carrying an illegal firearm had more than likely committed a crime with it and was therefore not immune for the criminal acts committed with the weapon, only immune from prosecution for actually carrying it.

Its a good idea in principle.
