We need at least one African team to fly the flag and so here's hoping for a Ghana win! :)

They don't need a win a draw will good enough so let's hope they wi but if all else fails a 0-0 or 1-1 would go down well.

Before the game starts, lets have a discussion. Who do you think is the most successful African football country, Egypt or Cameroon. Cameroon progressed the farthest of any African team in the WC (QuarterF) but Egypt is the most successful in the ACN with
7 titles and the most successful in the FIFA federation cup and only one of two African teams to ever get into the top 10 rankings.

On current form, Egypt is better. In terms of WC appearances, I'd say that Cameroon is better.
 
Cameroon the best African line up is without a doubt ivory coast, they have the best team on paper. May not work as a unit but man they have some talent in their ranks.

Actually algeria also have a pretty good of getting through today. Could have 2 african teams in the last 16 but judging by the african results it would suggest we will have no african teams in the last 16.
 
It seems FIFA are doing their best to help Africa get more teams in the R16, the ***a red card, the Gourcuff red card, Klose being suspended for tonights game.. Conspiracy, anyone?

Technically Sengal went further in 2002 than Cameroon in 1990. Senegal went out in the quarter finals too, but only to a golden goal.
 
Going to the game tonight, got some last minute tickets... Hope it's a good one and I don't freeze to death!
