Ghana vs Germany

Ghana play very well though. their biggest problem which everyone's probably mentioned is they can't finish for ****. If they had a proper striker I'd say they're semi favourites. ;)
They're on one of the easiest routes to the semis possible, one of Ghana, US, South Korea and Uruguay will be a semifinalist.

Dude this german team looks pretty bad to me. England will get past them unless it goes to penalties :D. Ghana could have nailed them if they never decided to have a flat back ten in the second half.

I agree, I would rather we play germany than ghana....
i think ghana will beat the states, england germany will be slow boring game, but prob 1-0 or 2-1

It depends on englands line up....joe cole should definitely start, du foe and rooney up ffront, with gerrard hanging just behind...

The last time Germany got knocked out of World Cup Finals before the quarter-finals was 1938
You never underestimate Germans in international tournaments.

Mexico
South Korea
Argentina
England
Germany
Ghana
USA

Very little surprises so far in terms of teams going through. Sure there was an upset or two on the way, but the most likely teams went through at the end of the day. So far at least.

And some of them cut it alot closer than they would have liked...germany, england only just made it,
Denmark, Italy and prob one of the favourites Spain could all be knocked out...not in that it might happen.,.....but in a very real it could happen...

Not so cut and dry?

TBH Denmark wouldn't really classify as an upset.
 
Was really awesome to be at Soccer City with 83,390 other people tonight! Had to walk really far, feet are sore... but it was worth it to see this happening in SA.
 
You guys are leaving out 2 of the best south american teams.

Chile and paraguay. Don't write them off and they should both get through
