"ghosting" on LCD

I've recently noticed white shadows on the borders of some windows on mylcd-how can I correct this? I tried resetting to factory settings but it persists.

What do you mean? When you are moving the windows around or a stationary white window on a dark background gives a white 'shadow'?

Yes, I'm using a cable
Stationary dark window gives a white shadow or vice versa

Could be that your contrast is set too high?

VGA cables sometimes do this. Rather use a DVI or HDMI cable if you can. You won't have any ghosting problems.
For the moment though, try playing around with the "sharpness" and "fitness" settings on the screen.
