Hi guys I need to get a 48 port or two 24 port switches with POE for cameras and wireless APs
What do the uplink ports do,
And also what do you recommend?
2 x 24 port or 1 x 48?
Maybe you can tell me which ones

Thanks

What do the uplink ports do,
1 of the main features of an uplink port would be to connect 2 switches to each other but at faster speeds.

So technically you would have 10 100M ports.

Your uplink would be 1G to another switch which could also do 1G speeds.

This would increase your entire network performance for clients connecting from 1 switch to clients on switch 2.

That is why some uplink ports are fibre.

PoE Switch is a typical value of 48V; non-standard POE switches are 48V, 24V, 12V, 5V
Do some homework to know what voltage you need
