So who do you use?

They both have unlimited plans for $15. You get a whole lot more connections from Giganews tho.

Giganews:

$14.99

* Our Most Popular Plan
* Unlimited Monthly Bandwidth Allowance
* 256-bit SSL Encryption included +30 Bonus Connections
* Total of 50 Simultaneous Connections
* 521 Days Binary Retention

Astraweb:

$15

Plan | Price |Quota | Rate Limit | Connections

Unlimited DSL | $15/Month | Unlimited | Unlimited | 20

Do the simultaneous connections mean from any pc?
I currently max out my line with 5 connections on Easynews..

I'm leaning toward Giganews, what do you recommend?

Also using the $11 Astraweb account. Full 420KB/s all the time, very very very few times that there are not enough par files. Retention is over 200 days.

Big thumbs up.

Astraweb is awesome, i was paying giganews 29.95 before gary mentioned the special.

I also use usenext to generate older nzb's :D only 8 dollars a month and the search on usenext is awesome.

Sold! I just signed up with Astraweb.

Never heard of usenext.. googling it now. Edit = OK.. I use easynews for that.. I pay a bit more, but I have about 350 gigs in the bank with them.

What clients do you use? I'm using newsleecher.. I tried the others but I find them too complex.

I use grabit i find it nice and easy, i do not like the others because when they download files they do not name them.

Grabit put the files in a folder called whatever the nzb is labeled which i prefer the other label it from the source which is annoying but use whatever works for you :D.

Usenext is just basically a program for searching files, yes there are free ones on the net but usenext is far superior. They also give you 10-15gb to use as well. So if i find a nzb that does not work with astraweb i load it there.

Grabit is OK, but I recently switched to alt.binz and I find it much more customisable. The ability to control your download speeds is really useful if you want to surf while downloading.

Yes that is a nice feature but if you have netlimiter it is pointless :D.

Grabit should though in future add that to their program because it is very useful.

I also use netlimiter.. awesome app.

I'll have a look at grabit before I buy newsleecher... is it free? edit - ok I see it is.
