I've got it. Basically, don't eat junk food when you're stressing.. Not that difficult to live with. Feel free to drop a PM if you want to chat.

You comfortable talking about in the open? if yes, could you elaborate on the above? Im assuming its got to do with the fat content and ability to break it down?

edit : otherwise you could PM me the reply :)

I don't really mind. If I eat junk food when going through stresful times, I feel lethargic to the point of just wantiong to sleep the whole time. My advice with this is, avoid junk food as stated, exercise it helps a lot, and also start stocking up on Essentiale tablets, take them whenever you start feeling a bit more tired than usual or someone tells you:"Are you ok, you look a little yellow" then there is also some liver drop from A. Vogel you can buy at any dischem, they work like a bullet, so use in extreme cases.

Why the stuff works, I don't know. Why I get tired, I haven't really researched this at all. I do the above, it keeps it in check and my live carries on normally.

PS. If you are planning on drinking, make sure you take some drops and pills, I can't really handle alcohol that well.

I've been feeling quite stressed the last week or so. I dont think I have been getting enough sleep as well. I ate take-away for lunch on tuesday and wednesday, thursday I was feeling quite off... Friday morning I was flat on my back until Tuesday morning (had to go into work).

I dont eat a lot of junk food at all, I usually eat healthy, and I play squash at least twice a week.

Thanks for the tips on the pills, gonna go pick some up asap. I dont drink, so that helps a lot I think

I'm guessing the food you had was some greasy stuff? Or perhaps mcd's which seem to be worse. But, eat healthy and take the pills when you know you have a rough week, and you'll be fine.

yeah, I had deep fried chicken strips with chips (chilli mayo on the side) the one day, and kfc zinger burger with chips on the side. I think that was my downfall which put me flat on my back for the last couple of days. Friday and Saturday I could barely move, I was dead weight. Im only starting to feel human today, 6 days later. I've lost about 4kgs :erm:

I just went down to clicks and got some of those tabs and drops, thanks for that tip.

MCD's?

Might just be my own experience, but for some reason, their food affects me more than other places.

These A.Vogel drops. Do you follow the instructions to a letter? they say 15 drops in a little water, 3 times daily, half an hour before eating. Jusst wondering how strict one needs to stick to that?

"If the reaction is too strong, reduce to 8 drops" What reaction!?

sounds a bit like having a bout of hepatitis. get used to reducing fat intake. hubby had hepatitis about 15 years ago and hasn't had marg/butter on his bread ever since. also i cook with very little fats and oils. this also helps. i don't fry meat at all i grill it instead, much healthier.

Have it. Discovered by my doctor when I was still in high school. It isn't life threatening, but there are a few things. To take into consideration.

Avoid alcohol. Yes, you can drink, but your liver will focus more on removing the alcohol than cleaning the other toxins. So be prepared to have bigger hangovers
Also avoid fatty foods. Most take aways, lamb, bacon etc. I gave up red meat due to this. Pork chops with the fat cut off is still okay
Eat healthy. Fruit and veggies. Especially if you did any of the above mentioned
Your skin might have a slight yellowish glow, same as people with hepatitis. Normally it happens after overindulging.

In other words. Eat healthy, minimize your alcohol intake and you should be fine. Otherwise, if you did any of the other stuff, make sure you revert back to healthy

My SO has this. I won't say "suffers" from this since the only thing he doesn't do is drink...

fast foods - he eats just about every day for lunch during the week

I do try to make sure we get lots of veggies and other healthy food for dinners / weekends (usually)

Might be something else. I recommend seeing a doctor.
