Learners from Forest High School have allegedly set the school hall on fire to avoid writing an exam this Friday, August 20.

It is believed that the learners started a minor fire inside the school premises in Turfontein, Joburg South.

The fire only damaged the portion of the podium and it was extinguished before any other damage was caused.

According to the school, the learners who started the fire have been identified and detained at the school for questioning.
