Hi,
I will appreciate any advice.
After paying my "school fees", I have learnt the hard way that picking stocks as a casual investor inevitably leads to a loss. We don't have the time and more nb the inside info to make the right calls. So I have turned to ETFs, in particular Rand hedge etf's. I have opened an easy equities account and have bought a few global index trackers.
I have noted the usd account on easy equities and was wondering what the experience has been of using this. It seems to be a logical way of buying the US stocks/ETFs rather than buying the SA based feeder funds which will result in higher CGTs as the Rand depreciates as expected.
Is the easy equities usd account easy to use, to deposit money (seems as easy as transferring from the ZAR account), and most nb withdrawing the money. Does it provide the same functionality as one would get with a fully offshore bank account?
I will appreciate any advice.
