Hi there,

I recently installed Vista on my machine, I currently have an Option Globertrotter 3g+ datacard. After I installed the VMC 9.1 from the Vodacom website, I am unable to add my datacard to the VMC. It's worked fine on XP with VMC 6 and 7...

Could I please get some assistance?

I have installed the Globetrotter Mobility Manager, but I can't find a Vodacom profile. Will i have to set 1 up manually, and where can I get te information from?

I'm guessing the only information you'll need is the apn which is "internet"

First of all run GTMM.
Click the "Setup" button, click the "New" button and select "Setup profile manually"
Click "next", select "3G/GPRS" and "next" again.
Click on "rename" to give your profile a name.
Your profile should now be created.
Now click on "tools", click on "settings", click on "connection type" and select whichever applies to you. I always choose "3G only"
Lastly make sure that you have this modem string in your modem properties ---> AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","INTERNET";

Good Luck

Im not sure if this is related, if I attempt to query my 3g card in the Phone and Modem Settings, it gives me an error, saying "Modem not connected".
Could it be driver software? I'm using the driver software I got from the GTMM.

It seems the VMC/GTMM is not picking up my card, although Vista is registering that its connected (but I can't query it). I'm not able to work with the card in the day, as my mother uses it on her laptop for work during the day. The card works perfectly on XP Pro using either GTMM or VMC v7
