Gmail goes cellular

...the mobile e-mail service, which currently is only available to U.S. cellphone users...
tried it anyway, but didn't work for me
i'm assuming this is a wap page?

yeah, I couldn't get it to work either... maybe some setting required, checking for cell number?

However, you can use this:
http://gmobile.sayni.net

It isn't official, but it works.

No, it is not a WAP page. It is returning HTML content...
Code:
GET <http://m.gmail.com/> (text/html, charset='ISO-8859-1') 230 301
GET <http://mail.google.com/mail/x/> (text/html, charset='ISO-8859-1') 0 302

Well it worked for me on my phone.

What phone using which browser?

I just tried on my P900 using Opera 6.3, but I got an XML parser error... looking for an update of the browser now...

Details on the mobile e-mail service, which currently is only available to US cellphone users at http://m.gmail.com.
Thats not an accurate statement as I've just accessed it from SA via vodacom. Perhaps they meant to say only affordable to US cellphone users as often services like this, and IM chat services will get bundled with standard data packages.

Worked fine for me on my blackberry and on the native motorola v.3 browser but not opera mini.

Anyone got it working on opera mobile, or can anyone recomend an app for series 40 phones that will work with gmail mobile??
