Gmail goes cellular

I've tried several times over the last few days and I CAN'T connect. Phone just times out after about 30 secs.

The phone connects fine to http://www.google.co.za/wml or to http://www.google.com.

Also when I browse to http://m.gmail.com using Opera (which can browse xml/wml pages) I get the error: "XML parsing failed: mismatched tag (Line: 27, Character: 439)". Firefox gives a similar error.

Found this in the opera forums and it worked for me - http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=116423
The following workaround worked for me (I got a parse error on the m.gmail.com page too):
+ open the standard www.gmail.com webpage on your mobile and sign in with 'remember ...' enabled
+ go back to the mini start page, without logging out from gmail
+ open m.gmail.com and you should go directly log into your account.
(it should skip the problem page and open in m.gmail directly)
They're aware of the problem at least.
