I received a Gmail notification e-mail of an additional recovery e-mail address associated with my Gmail account.
This e-mail address does not belong to me.

I think somebody wants to hijack my account. (can this address being used to reset my password ??)

There is no way to remove this e-mail address. One can only add additional recovery addresses.

It seems to me that there is no way to contact Google about this problem. ([email protected] does not work).

Does anybody know how I can remove this illegal recovery e-mail address from my account ?

:confused::confused::confused:

PS: I am still able to log into my account. (at this stage).

Go through these in case you haven't already ; you might find aspects of them including sub-headings along the left-hand side of the pages, that may also help.

Strongly recommend you setup 2-step verification as well

2 step verification can be a pain sometimes but definitely worth it. Feel much better knowing there is an extra security layer protecting me personal emails.

Thanks for the reply.

There is still not an option to delete a recovery e-mail address. You can only add an additional one. (Or am I missing something)

I did implement the two-step verification process.

Thanks for the advice.

Try adding another email, log out and back in. Check for delete recovery email option?
