I Dont know if this is posted in the right place but why dont they make a local link to gmail and other online services thats used by many south africans? like the news servers they have it mirroring giganews

Yes, I know what he was suggesting. The fact remains, as bwana points out the obvious below, it won't help even if he suggests it, because it will be too big. Think about it, then Russia, Iceland, Australia etc. needs a mirror for each service on the internet, that deviates from what the "internet" actually is.
