GO BOKKE!!!

Good job by the Boks. They won despite the ref's best efforts...

Seriously though, the ref's head was somewhere else in the second half!

Ooooooooh look what Joost and Naas are saying Marine!!!!

Did I hear Joost say that Bismarck's back did not even touch the ground?!?! ....amongst other complaints about the ref!!

Well done Bokke. :D

You took the game whilst playing against 16.

A lot of shockers from the ref. :(

Oh but earlier you were (incorrectly) cheering on the calls of the commentators for supporting your views... hmmm funny that

I suppose Joost and Naas don't know very much about rugby anyway...

Ref was pathetic, he missed a lot, including forward passes, off side infringements, 50/50 decisions went against us today, what was the penalty count in the end? Heavily weighted in favour of the Welsh. I didn't think he blew that game objectively at all. We were a bit lucky in the end to come away with the win. Great intercept try from Jean saved us from possibly the 2nd defeat in history against the Welsh.

Man of the match, the ref...

The yellow card should definitely not have been. They even showed it in the replay. I admit the Boks need to work on their tackling skills (body-->hit-ground) and their discipline (hands in ruck, playing ball on ground...) but the ref did make a difference... a negative one.

There, fixed it for you...

Looking good. Ruan at flyhalf looks great.

I'm glad Naas brought up that issue with the ball landing in field and then the opposition putting their foot out and then claiming the ball went out. This needs to be changed! It is making the field about a metre shorter all around. why have lines if they serve no purpose! If the ball was going to stay in field and you "step" it out it should be opposition ball. My view...
But surely if the ball bounces in field, which it did, then it's in play so the line out would be SA's as it's the Welsh player who has taken the ball out of play?

Now we all know you usually bitch about a ref but that is normally when your team has lost. We won and yet we are all still aware that the ref had a bad one... that has got to say something! :)

He definitely missed a lot... luckily it had no effect on the result at the end of the day.

Yip, that is what I said. If the Welsh guy steps out it is the opposition ball ie Springboks in this case.

Watched it again and I'm totally confused as to what happened there. Ruan kicks the ball from outside his 22 and the ball bounces harmlessly into the Welsh 22. The Welsh full back with one foot out of play and one foot in play picks the ball up and then proceeds to take the line out. Bismarck obstructs the quick line out from with in the 5 yard line is SA is penalized..I don't get it... Clearly it's SA put in to the line out but how could the ref and touch judge be unsighted?

I was very impressed with some of the big hits we put on the Welsh. Overall, the ref was appalling! They might as well have employed the Welsh mascot to ref the game FFS! Useless twat!!!

But we didn't make the most of our possession which is a bit of a worry, although we couldn't go more than 2 phases without being blown for a supposed infringement. BS!!!

But the result speaks for itself - our 15 man team beat 16 little Welsh boys! I will admit, the Welsh open running play is impressive. It's a pity from their perspective that they needed a ref to try help them with the rest of their game though...

Effectively merely touching the line puts a player out. If he were holding the ball at the time and it was his possession, it would be our ball. But if he initially touches the ball from outside of the field of play, he effectively hasn't touched the ball at all and it is his possession. Personally I have no issue with it - how does one change the law then to accommodate for this without contravening other laws? And even if they fixed it to say that a player with one foot in the field of play is considered in, well that just changes rugby to an extent then. They cannot stipulate conditions for this either, because the ball could travel to the touch-line in any number of different ways.

Bissie was penalised fair and square IMO though - he interfered with quick line-out from within the 5m line...
