Dunno guys - this seems to be a list of concerns and considerations straight from the horses mouth (foreigners who are into the sport) - maybe we'd do well to take note?

Dude... I can get the security concerns. Sure... we all can. They are worried about the weather though... I mean that is just plain stupid. There are also a few other peaches there for your perusal, so I'll just leave it at that.

Well... isnt bad weather a bad thing for a football tournament? I know the game cant really be rained out in the sense that cricket can but it can be fairly unpleasant...
I dont really know what their weather concerns are, maybe they are aware of something that can be painful in the context of a large tournament like this?
My point is: we as a nation will want to convey some sense of hospitality. Telling our guests to shove their concerns is no way to do that and it does reek heavily of the kind of attitudes we see in Govt. and generally the way we treat one another (no surprise then that this is our brand of hospitality.)
Personally I think SA is in for a faceful of reality sandwiches with this thing, my only hope is that we actually learn from it and manage to break out of our insular "but its my culture" mentaltiy and learn to abide by the standards that the rest of the planet hold each other to.
