Gobii llP & lVP

hmm i rather not go fight with them, used a voucher for the purchase and also took a few other items and also applied vouchers so i got my money's worth and then some :D
 
Just got my IVP. Putting on the screen protector was pain in the arse. The phone is a bit heavy, and has no light sensor. But its fast and smooth. Much better than comparable Huawei/Hisense 4.5 inch phone.

Looks like Kalahari is dumping stock with these dramatic price cuts. But the IIP for R399, thinking about getting one for paperweight.
 
If only the GPS worked better it would be a no brainer

The IIP is the perfect staff phone as it is capable of smart features like multiple emails etc I won't mined buying this as a back up for my business orientated phones.

That is the one issue I had and pointed out to kalahari many months ago when these phones came to the market. Obviously they have not responded and doubt they ever will, so that is one feature I just sort of made peace with.

The phone for the price is amazing! My back cover unfortunately broke and I can't find a replacement cover if some of you might come across one let me know.

Believe it or not the back cover on my IVP has only been off once since I got it six months ago and that was for a SIM swop, I was forever pulling the battery on my previous phones.

Re the GPS problem, is this a IIP problem as I don't seem to have problems with the IVP?

You lucky bastard my precious gobi fell from the the very high Navara onto the very solid hard and evil tarmac road on the yellow line and God punished me by destroying my back cover, but warned me by saving my screen.


The GPS issue I have is on my IVP basically certain Apps do not recognize the GPS.
 
I had a similar issue with the GPS on my old Wildfire after rooting it. Quickly fixed by running a GPS helper from the play store. I will try find the fix tomorrow if I remember

Although... Never used my gps...

Wonder how many of the R499 they sold.. I just got a 2nd one for a gift and applied R100 voucher :)
 
Love the phone... just have to stop trying to click the bottom centre to unlock it :o
