Gobii llP & lVP

Finally, my lVP arrived, as did one for a work friend & GF.
She has had her llP for about 6 months now. Apart from dropping & cracking the screen, no problems at all.

However, my only concern with the lVP is the lack of storage memory for downloading programs. I did add a 16Gb card as well, but programs get loaded onto the 1GB & that gets full very quickly. I added Adobe Reader, Kindle, Chrome, ES File Explorer, GMail, Keep, Messenger, MS Office Mobile, SwiftKey, as the default keyboard is a pain & lags, Here BetaNav program, & S Flash torch, that is far better than the one that comes with it.

Maybe I can try a better Office suite? Any ideas?

Not all that much added, essentials really, & it bleats when I try to add more. Yes, you can transfer the programs to Internal storage, but not the default progs that come with it.

On the whole, when you think of it, the free 200MB is worth about R600, so you getting a phone for R400!
Oh, it also comes loaded with a phawk load of ring tones! :-)

Can you tell me about the GPS, any issues locking on?

Not yet, I did a very quick test this morning. It locked onto my location very quickly & struggled to give directions to my destination.
So, more later when I have a bit more time.

Not quite...

Cell C also announced that it is discounting the price of its 2.4GB prepaid data bundle (200MB per month for 12 months) from R189 to R79.

Cell C announcement from mere minutes ago - bastards decreased the value of the Gobii :D

More seriously, can anyone please detail the GPS problems. The solution posted above is from another time and another phone but after downloading said helper, Waze works, Uber works.

Kalahari always leaves me confused, I can order two items that will both be in stock yet they'll both arrive at different times... I've got one phone but no electricity atm.

@Thor187 can I load the Play Store on to the Gobii or must I side load every app?

The only way to open the play store was to go through settings and then apps. I didn't have an icon on the menu.

Google Play Store ? Just go into the menu, not sure if they changed it since when I bought mine, but I had google play store on my menu you just set up your google account and bob's you uncle.
