gobii Phones not detecting CellC 3G network?

Got two of them for my parents, they come with two CellC 200Megx12 deals sim cards.

However when I search for the Networks available with those phones I only find CellC 2G network.
Anyone have experience with those phones or tell me what I should be looking for to see if it has support for CellC 3G networks?

Looks like it doesn't do UMTS900, so you're stuck on EDGE unless you are close to one of the few Cell-C base stations that do UMTS2100.

Never assume...
Why give CellC data, if the phone doesn't support CellC 3G?

At least whatsapp messages go through, but I will need to create a 3G hotspot to actually update and download the apps.
Because lets face it, edge sucks.

I beg to differ. It is about your needs, not a speed. :)
I use two R49 RBM starter packs and four Telkom Mobile. When one is finished, SIM swap, and so...
