Good 1000w PSU?

wait a min,on that psu calculator website,i didnt include my coolermaster haf case and the numerous fans it takes,as well as a future blu ray drive,and they dont have the 4870x2 card (not 2 in crossfire,the dual gpu one...)whts the recommende power on a radeon 4870x2 anyway??
 
so say i buy a gfx card that requires say...34 amps on the 12v rail,and i buy a psu that has 2 12v rails,but only 18 amps on each rail...then what?will it be sufficient for my gfx card?how do you calculate it in that case?

As far as I know you will need to combine the two rails' power (with something like a 2 x Molex -> 6 pin PCI-E) to provide the needed amps. But don't quote me on this, I'm not 100% sure ;)
