Good and Physically strong in ear headphones

I have a annoying habit of somehow consistently breaking my earphones, the wiring will suffer either inside the headphone itself or somewhere in the shielding. I know this is because I'm not too careful with them but I don't break them on purpose.

In the coming months I want to get something proper that'll both sound good and work for a long time, needs to sub 1k

I have a pair of B&W C5's which were great and lasted a few years but don't want to get another pair as they are expensive.

Any suggestions?

can get them at any musica, cost about R300,

but if you can wait, wait for Rage JHB in October, where the Rage stand has them for 50% off,

skullcandy, has a lifetime warranty, will replace most cases, and if not you pay 50% off the price for a new one
IE you left it in the wash ect...

I see these absolutely everywhere, do they actually sound good though?

Im using them right now, work well enough,

and if you willing to drive a bit,

at mall of africa, right next to starbucks they got a stand where you can bring your cellphone and try them out personally,

they also have the more expensive models with bigger drivers, so those might work better for you,

I was after something compact and reliable that didnt break,
 
I have the previous version of these

They're going strong 5 years on with epic performance for the price.

Always been a fan of Sennheiser, also use the the previous set -had them for ages and they sound great.

Uhm. Depends on you're definition of worth it.

They have the best fit. But you need to pay an audiologist to make the moulds, then send it to the manufacturer to have it made. Manufacturers are not in SA. Also, custom moulded IEMs almost exclusively use BA drivers, so they are going to cost a hell-of-a-lot.

Why not buy IEMs that use a MMCX connector? They'll probably last longer and the cable is easily replaceable.
 
Hyper X Cloud headphones. Dropped mine a few times. Strong durable. Excellent sound. Comfy. Only let down is it is wired.
