Good article. Right on the nail. What I struggle to get to grips with is the fact that it will just fly over their heads. :( Like that Peanut doll with Jeff Dunham :D eeeeeeeEEEEEEOOOOOOOoooooow!!

SA will never get rid of 'Apartheid' - its the stick they use to get 'Money' from Europe. SA needs to be 'Compensated' for apartheid.

So while the EU are saying 'Poor Africa, we are sorry' - the Africans will ride the gravy train.

EU needs to make it compulsory for wannabe "samaritans" to live in SA for one year, as a "normal" person before giving us money.
 
FOR the past 13 years we have heard how wonderful everything was in the country prior to the ANC coming in to power.

The white spin doctors resort to all sorts of selective memory, as they have been doing all this time.

Now is the time for the truth.

In 1994 the ANC took over a country that was in a healthy state of repair, with an Education system - Christian National Education - rated with the best in the world - if you were white.

A Health system that was also first rate - if you were white. If you weren't, well, that was your problem.

A transportation system that had had too little investment for too long, an ineffective rail network that forced business to use road transport from the ports to the inland cities, some great roads too - if you were white. If you lived in a township, well, asphalt was something the white people used on their roads.

A Police force that were the agents of racist government policies, who killed and tortured any who dared oppose the Nationalist government.

An Army rated with the best in the world, that would take you away every year for a month or two to fight futile wars in foreign lands. To hell with the cost to your business or your family.

A deeply restricted press, at the mercy of the Publications Control Board, unless, of course, the Nat government owned the rag. Nipple-stars.

Housing, electricity that worked, water that flowed, high rate of employment - if you were white, of course.

So, what Gilgamesh is saying is that instead of raising non-whites to a higher level, the ANC has merely brought the whole country to ruin.

Makes sense.
 
The article has some good points, but it isn't the most well thought-out piece.

All that he says is that things were not as rosy as many choose to remember.

I cracked up when I read that we had an education system rated in the top ten!:rolleyes:

You know what the problem is?

Nobody cares for the right things and nobody say's, "Who cares!" to the things we should all forget about.

Thats the honest problem :p

During the 80s while I was at receiving my education my black brothers were burning their newly-built schools in the name of the struggle. Today I am qualified up to world-class standards while the guys that preferred throwing stones and burning busses are hardly able to read or write.

Everything is true on that article.
What was the country's population during apartheid?
Say it was 40-45 mil people. Out of that 5 mil were white and the rest were black, coloureds, and Indians.

So yeah the apartheid would easily serve the 5 mil people. Could easily provide better education, roads, infrastructure, jobs, and all that. Now the ANC has to "serve" 50 mil people (that's ten times the 5 mil people).

Where I cum from, we only got electricity, running water in 1996/98. I got Bantu education (almost every black person had that during that time).
