I got my iBurst connection five or six months ago. My first impression was that it's an awesome service but lately it sucks.

Yesterday I orderd the HomeDSL 384 package from Telscum, it's only R100 per month more than no-burst and there's no cap on local stuff. I dowload mostly from a local bittorrent site so it suits me perfectly.

I will cancel my no-burst subscription as soon as Telscum installs the ADSL line (I know this can take a month or two).

RIP no-burst.

PS: Some of my friends (who are current no-burst subscribers) are doing the same.

Good luck to you and your friends. it only frees up some bandwidth for us

Jasis you iBurst okes are a bunch of sour grapes

Yes, if you can get the no-burst connection to stay connected long enough.

So true

You do have a point: mine goes down every single time I do a manual reboot. :D

'No-burst" hahaha
ok dude go to ADSL i applaud your choice but please don't come here talking ish about iburst, its just not meant for some people I guess, at least you free up some bandwith for me, thx

for me the choice isn't that hard, 130KB/s or 30KB/s hmmmm... its a toughie

Then you should stop rebooting your manual so often :D

Point in case. Luckily mine is by choice ...

BTW: I hope your Telkom exchange is about a block away from your house! :p

That's 30KB/s (international) when capped (well, at least that's what I'm getting) on iBurst! :D

What's Telskum's speed after the cap?

I think anyone should be able to talk about anything with regards to iBurst on this forum... and I dont think any forumite has the right to determine otherwise except the MODs... but hey thats me. thx

We all know you have good speeds because you mention it in JUST ABOUT every post you make... so be a little bit accepting of what other people say... because guess what the iBurst universe does not reovlve around you...

i'm not talking about now, i'm saying in future i don't want him coming here and saying "LOL WTF OMG MY PINGS ARE..." and then paste his ping results, thats all i'm saying cuz that trash DOES NOT belong here, i'm not sayign don't say what happened with you with iburst just saying when he is a ADSL user I don't want him making the comparison all the time.

anyways who are you to talk, what about your stupid propaganda compaign, you just lost all credibility (not that you had much before) you just make things up when you feel like it, I just comment on my iBurst experience as it is. I guess thats the difference,

Slimothy... if anyone has lost credibility I would say it's you cuz I am not the first nor the last to call you an ass. So pull your head out of your ego and realise people can talk about what they want because this forum fortunately is not owned by you and never will be.

did i say he couldn't talk about anything? or did i make a request that he doesn't come paste ping tiems here. cuz there is a difference you know.

anyways what are you still doing here? i thought you cancelled your contract

Take a look at what ADSL customers have to say.

I really hope WBS can sort out their problems.
I chose this service because I can't stand TELKOM's poor service and outrageous prizes and I don't think it's as easy as "get ADSL" I expect ADSL to be even worse. And if I look back on all the installation and service issues with my ISDN I'm really not thinking ADSL is the solution.

ADSL 192K(R330) + 4gig,unshaped(R900) = R1230
Iburst 9gig,p2p,30 day notice =R1100

ADSL users on 3gig(shaped) are also complaining about bad speeds and blocked services ,which is not temporary issues like on Iburst.

I would rather bare with wbs for a while and maybe not get my moneys worth this week than to go to telkom and know I’m not getting my money's worth for the entire contract

yeah agreed.

I think once one ISP gets thier act together and does it the first world way the rest have no other choice but to follow suit, I think that ISP could still be WBS, but the jury is still out on that one
