Good Bye iBurst

I am sticking with these guys (Iburst) for now....I tried almost every service out there and for my purposes Iburst suits me just fine. The only thing that it lacks when everything works, is low latency and if that is 110% NB for you, go adsl.

Right on Slimothy, you rock man, we need ppl like you in the iburst forum.:)

No Melkhom for me

I'm ecstatic to have iBurst - and I only get a 60% signal!!

Live close to Irene, can't get Sentech and Melkhom promised months ago that they'll install ADSL, but never did - even the 'landline' was crap.

*It was quite funny when the second network operator was announced, I saw Melkhom bakkies in and around Irene for weeks!! That pissed me off even more, because Melkhom will only consider providing a service if it feels threatened. (I still think Melkhom is better off if they stay out of the public eye and just sell wholesale ADSL to smaller ISPs. They should NEVER EVER be allowed to deal with the public again.)

I nearly collapsed in my chair when I saw on iBurst's rollout plan that Irene is covered - and as I'm sitting here typing this message, I couldn't be happier.

I don't need Melkhom anymore. No landline, no overpriced ADSL & no being passed around from one useless Melkhom extention to the next anymore.

Life's good.

kingrob , i feel the same.Sentech still shows "Centurion = Planned".not good enough. burst delivered. and i got connect the same week as signup.No one will beat that!!!!!
I'm having the time of my life on my 24/7 connection and its 100 times faster, even cheaper than my previous ISDN

Now delivering in SA....

BicPen, I agree - iBurst & WBS 'delivered' for me - and that was all I wanted.

I was up-and-running after my visit to their offices in Auckland Park, took 15 minutes to register, they put a brown WBS bag in your grubby little claws - and that was it!

Got home, made a cup of coffee, whacked the modem into my laptop and connected at 1Mbps!!!!

MTN phone & iBurst = complete freedom.

Good luck to you and your friends. it only frees up some bandwidth for us

Yeah, this is exactly what everyone on Sentech said. But it still sucks. Go figure. :rolleyes:

typical business practice

if (userbase >= 2000){
bandwidth = 10
}
else if (userbase < 2000){
bandwidth = 5
}
if bandwith is bigger or equal than 2000 then bandwith equals 10 and if the userbase is smaller than 2000 the bandwith equals 5?? shouldn't that be the other way round

if userbase greater or equal to two thousand then bandwidth equals ten times else if user base smaller then two thousand bandwidth is reduced by fifty percent or is 5 times.

nope logic is prety solid there.

yeah ok, i stil don't see where you got ten times from in the first one

irc.ethereal.web.za #iburst earlier a bunch of people were int here and all doing fine
