Hey guys,
So Im a programmer, and it means I spend my days glued to my chair, this obviously means a good chair is very important to my back health haha. Im wanting to buy a good one, as in my previous experience the "cheapy" office chairs from MrP and Game, often end up bending/warping on the metal of the chair so it tilts slightly and my one hip sits higher then the other resulting in back ache. So Im looking for a good chair/chair brand (don't worry if its expensive) that is suuuuper sturdy and wont warp or bend. I often find office chairs are flimsy, like when you put in the lock to stop it leaning back it has some shake in it. Im wanting something which is good for me and very sturdy.

Same boat as you.

I already have back problems.

I opted for a Corsair gaming chair

With the lumbar pillow and neck rest I can sit the whole day no issues. Go to the office and sit in their chair my back is killing me after a couple of hours

Herman Miller Aeron
Definitely quite an investment, but a good one.

Even if it's 3-4 times more expensive than some "gaming" style chair it will last longer than the gamer chair by more than that factor.

Bonus if you can find a second hand one somewhere, but they're like hen's teeth locally.

I got my Herman Miller Aeron after browsing the classifieds (Carbonite, Gumtree and FB) for a week or so. Eventually one turned up at a great price. Never looked back.

Deadlifts? Back rotations? Posture exercises?

That actually "fixed" my back and keep it in shape other than just relying on a chair.

Same got mine just as we got comfortable with our 21 day hard lockdown back in 2020.

Tip: Get yourself a Atlas Headrest.

Just about anything that ISN’T a gaming chair will do. Despite the marketing, they’re the worst thing for your back.
