good enough parts?

I think the ram issue is really overrated personally. I've never experienced the slightest problem with ddr2800. Even DDr2667 is ok tbh. But 800 is so cheap nowadays that it's best value for money.
 
shouls i get 4 x 512mb ram to utilize all 4 slots,4 x 1gig or 2 x gigs?i'm still novice on the dual dimm config and i've heard from some bright sparks that you can only enable dual channel if all 4 slots are used.which i think is bullshiet....i've seen guys only use 2 slots but to according colors of the slots...............:confused::confused::confused:

Get 2x2gigs, then you can always add more ram in the future, if needed.
 
Yeah, you only need 2 dimms to start utilizing dual channel. Otherwise it would have been called quad channel. :D
 
i got the orginal of xp pro sp2 and xp3 but no vista.i think its from the devil.well that's my opinion.if i must i'll get vista ultimate.but on xp and vista must i stick with 32bit or go to 64bit.how will it affect my games.cause i've only used xp pro 32bit............
 
64bit has matured a lot and I am having no problems. If you want to access all 4gigs of ram, you will have to go with 64bit.

Why not give Windows 7 Beta a try? Heard some good thing about it. Just waiting for the download link on MS's site and then I will be trying it. :D

Eish, tough question. 4870x2 is exorbitantly expensive.

What games you going to be playing?

If you're getting a 22" screen, I would tend to say 4870 - for most games.

If you're getting the 4870x2, then at least get a 24" monitor... :p
 
SB = Fail. :D Soz guys, but as you can see on the website, they only have seagates. I was getting everything from one site... LoL. :D
