Good loud soundbar?

Hey guys

So I'm looking to get a soundbar for my music and also movies but I really like loud music.

My budget is around R2000-R2300

It's not alot but it's what I can afford now.

I saw one with a Subwoofer for around R2300 at 400watts. I think that's loud and a good deal but any other suggestions?

I see SINOTEC has some ones but im not sure of the brand.

Just don't buy the JVC 2.1 system. Crap and not very loud or clear. Can't comment on the Sinotec but I did listen to a Hisense once before. Not sure which model it was but didn't sound too bad. Clear and loud. I see on Takealot it goes from R2400 for Hisense 2.1 unit. Otherwise other options are JBL or Samsung. Probably best to see if you cannot listen to the product in store, like Makro.
 
I listened to one in Hifi Corp with 480watts and it was loud but maybe I expected more lol

I'd love to have my music really loud but i assume for my budget, i can't expect too much.

Although a soundbar seems to be better and reasonable.

I think anything over 400w at R2000-R2300 is definitely reasonable
 
Wattage overall is a little bit of a pointless metric.

You want to know what the wattage of a single speaker channel is rather, that will determine volume.

But at this price point don’t expect a miracle.

That's true im not too clued up on the wattage metrics etc. But im estimating it's better, a family friend has a soundbar with 180w and is loud and the one im thinking of getting is 480w.

Although mine will have a Subwoofer
 
The JBL series is pretty good. Can’t remember if it’s just above that price range maybe.

I would definitely go for a JBL considering it's Dolby atmos and "surround sound" but it is considerably higher.. So unfortunately im really restricted to my price range.

Oh no you won’t get the Atmos ones in that range.

But they have some lower end stereo bars in that price which are pretty damn solid.

Lol yeah i realized that hey but honestly i just want loud and clear. Not concerned about Dolby atmos now.

In my price range? I've found a few on takealot so I'm just contemplating before pulling the trigger.
 
What I do is look at the power supply. Take the voltage out of the power supply and multiply it by the current. This will give you a better indication of the true power out.
 
Never ever get any of the JVCs for that price. They are horrible, also wattage isn't a good way to check, some list the wattage as pmpo and others as RMS.

It doesn't but i need something with Bluetooth connectivity, and it needs to be reasonable priced in my budget. Soundbars are modern and have good features
Any alternatives to a soundbar then? Thanks

Those aren't really sound bars, but portable speakers, some can sound really good, some really bad. The JBLs aren't bad

If i was looking for portable speakers lol i would go for this but im looking more into home theater /soundbars
