Good news from Eskom

You know we ****ed, when our national electricity provider has to provide daily updates on their ability to meet electricity demand.

They haven't got a clue what is going.
They have been saying since yesterday that chances are good that Stage 1 loadshedding will happen on Thursday and especially on Friday.
I've heard that statement several times this morning on radio.

Now they say there won't be shedding?
They did the same thing last week?
All over radio it was announced as an official announcement that there won't be shedding. 10 minutes later, bam, Stage 2, less than an hour we were in Stage 3.

I think Eskom now takes it minute by minute.

Anything further in the future will be a thumb suck.
 
Riiiiiiight, I hope we can believe you Eskom. Your schedule shows high risk of load shedding today and tomorrow.

On Monday they said there was no chance of loadshedding. Less than an hour later it started
 
The uncertainty of not knowing when it will be on or off is just as bad as it being off, how can you plan with the thought that the power "might" be on.

It is seriously messing with my business, it increases the risk like crazy.
 
I'd be happy if, for today, there's no loadshedding.

If they loadshed us on any of the four stages it would mean we won't have electricity from 20:00 until 22:30 and that's a really kuk time.

Yip, I'm 18:00 - 20:30 4 days of the week. I only get home at 18:00. Nothing like coming home to a dark house and not being able to cook for 2.5 hours

And the updates are actually only valid for an hour or so before they announce emergencies shortages blah blah blah

The one thing i can grateful for is our GAS stove / Oven , works really well , does not cost much for gas and awesome during loadshedding
 
This is what happen when there is no reserve power. Somebody switches on a kettle and they have to load shed the neighborhood.
