Hi guys

I have some good news. ‘Die Burger’ senior business journalist, Johan du Toit, came back to me and is positive about taking the matter further.

“Hi *******, thanks for your e mail. I run a consumer column for die Burger once a week called "Weerklank" and i hope to invetigate. Can u be more specific on the issues re poor service so that I can take it up with Telkom?”

I gave all the issues mentioned in this forum and I am certain we will hear from him soon.

The Natal Witness may also publish an article. I will keep you updated.

Lastly a note about the fact that I keep this forum anonymous (or at least as far as nicks are anonomous :-). I want this to be a safe place for everybody to give their views. Although you are welcome to give your name, I would encourage you to respect the fact that some users might not want to follow that route. There might be many reasons.

Keep up the good work folks, we are getting somewhere!

If we can bring this into the open, things will start moving forward. Monopolies are very autocratic and bossy, but when their sins become known to the general public, they will turn into cowards and beg for our forgiveness...[8D]
 
You haven't thought about contacting Beeld's "verbruikersforum". I have written two letters to them already, but without success.

Maybe if they have a look at the forum, they might change their minds.

Ever think about Maggie Stolterforth,(spelling), she did brilliant things with the DSAT forum.

Hi guys

I have just replied to a journalist from ITWeb doing an article on the site and about ADSL. I have also contacted Financial Mail.

I am certain we will receive a formal reply from Telkom soon. They must get the picture by now that the problem is not going to disappear, and that users are not simply going to accept bad service.
