Good, Quiet PSU < R650

looking for a good quiet PSU under R650..
what would you guys recommend ?

something with a 120mm Fan ?

Continuous output greater that 400W if possible

I'd recommend this, though it is R670. If your budget can stretch that far, it'd be the one to go for in my opinion.

But if you are absolutely limited to R650, maybe have a look at this.

I bought a 550w antec for 1k and it has never had a problem even with a 9800gx2.

Go cheap now and you'll end up paying more in 12 months when you want a fancy new power hungry card.

I agree, my philosophy is to buy the best motherboard and PSU that your budget allows

My problem is I have the same idea.. but never keep to my budget.. ps and case were suppose to be under 1000... now bought a case coolermaster centurian 5.. now I need the psu...

That psu cannot even a power 9800gx2 does not seem like a good one to me

Well there is nothing i can say for 650 as good quality psu's cost loads these days

O greg ya man that power supply damn if anything it is a bit too much, i thought you were buying an i7 system?

so did i until, I check the budget and got caught with some unsuspected costs..
(not computer related)

So just looking for somthing to tide me over for a year of so.. then it will become a File storage server.. or mediacenter pc in the roof

The gigabyte should be fine for that. Only difference in my setup is I have a Q6600

That gigabyte power supply will be fine. Just remember it's only around 500watt continuous.
