Can anyone recommend any good software to record audio samples from movie clips like dvds, avi's etc? I just want to record like a few sentences for example to put it in a song

You could probably use Windows' built-in Sound Recorder to record the clips as they're being spoken?

fruityloops can be used to record to then loop it if you want to.

I tried but it comes out all crackly...

Is there a capture button or something in there? I just run fruityloops and then start the capture and press play on the clip that Im trying to record from?

I always recommend a wav editor.You can do loooooots of things with it.
audacity...free
soundforge
adobe audition
wavelab
you can record 1:1 or import the audio of the movie.

Since you're using reason,i'd suggest invest in the time in learning a wav editor.
It'll come in very handy

Anyway fruity is not bad,but anything fruity can do,reason can do better.

HITSQUAD is your friend for many more options.

I use wav editors, I also use Recycle...The way I've seen it before is a movie clip would be imported into something like Final Cut Pro or something like that and then you choose which length of track you want recorded and then cut the piece, save it and export...

I didnt know soundforge & audacity could record from movie clips, do you import the avi for example into it or do you play the clip in winamp or mediaplayr and then capture/record from soundforge??
I heard the windows sound recorder will record any sound being played at the time, but it didnt work so well...

You can do both but i prefer import...no noise
Normally it is file --->extract audio from video.Simple as pie
Now you just highlight the part that you want and save.Import than the saved part and fine tune if needed.

TIP:If you sample is say in the beginning of movie file,you don't need to import all of it.Just import and cancel on say 20%...save time.
