Hello,

I've been Googling around for a long time now and have come by many hosts. Everything is ok, but has some kind of catch. I would appreciate of some of you could help me by pointing me to a few good hosts.
4 GB RAM, lots of bandwidth and no contracts if possible.

Thanks!

We offer great deals on Cloud Hosting. Drop me a PM if you're keen to know more about what we offer.

Your problem is you're looking for: "Good yet cheap"

Oxymoron if I ever heard one

Not necessarily. Why should you pay more? Awesome service should just be a given ;)

I wish I was referencing service. I meant reliability/speed/quality a lot more since I'm not an average user who would call support if I see a spec of dust on my monitor and don't know what to do about it.

I've found 99% of the time that cheap isn't synonymous with "good". If the hardware sucks, it sucks, regardless of how awesome service is.

On dedicated servers we let our clients have some input into the hardware they would like and influence their pricing. We even allow clients who want to cut costs opt for second hand hardware. How much the client wants to spend is up to them, in terms of the quality and brands for hardware - service is constant!

Local is expensive , try Edisc uk based , i am 7 year customer with them

Disappointing service from Afrihost

Hi There, unfortunately I can not agree with the "Awesome" part anymore. For at least 2 days my CPanel/WHM has been down on a VPS account with Afrihost, due to some License issue. I contacted Afrihost support and all I got as meaningful response (more than 30h ago) is this message: "I am moving the concern to our senior admin regarding your cPanel issue".
I sent another message last night and didn't receive any response. In the mean time my WHM as well as each of the CPanel accounts created for different domains remains down.
If the problem couldn't be solved yet, but at least I had received an update on the issue, I would understand and wouldn't be posting this message here, but leaving an user "hanging there" with no feedback at all is not good enough.
