I purchased the Cellc 2gb promo around last year this time. Up until Dec i received pretty good service coverage. Although my speeds were never above 3mps, I was happy, I connected surfed/downloaded and continued on my merry way. Cheap fast internet FTW.

In January it all changed, constant disconnects, connections made but no throughput. Numerous calls to cellc have proved fruitless, till today.
I get a very strong signal, but having no throughput and constant disconnects just exposes your overloaded network. Going through this frustration everyday for the past ;I 've been more than patient and am moving on, to Telkom no less. Jumping into bed with the devil.

I am gratefull that the indusrty was shaken up by this offer, but why offer a product that you cant actaully provide ?

Im in the same bed as you (dont worry...I wont touch you) :) Our situation seems to be almost exactly the same. Last night was one of the worst I have ever experienced. Pages would take like 2 minutes to load...then the modem would drop the connection....or what happened constanly is the light would go from blue to cyan then to blue then to cyan constantly. Other nights it would connect but no through put and then I have to disconnect and reconnect and then itworks for like 5 minutes and then no through put again.

I am also considering 8ta. Must just check the signal level at my house with a prepaid pack and take them for a test run first.

I've also tried 8ta, if you purchase from the 8ta store, you dont need to worry about roaming and such, it automatically connects to 8ta only.

my 8ta signal is 18% vs 65% for cellc, yet my i can download @ 5-6mbps consistently.

Surfing experience is so so different.

I have the 5GB 3G Card which should have even faster speeds but i experience slow downloads 100-200kbps where i know i should be getting ATLEAST 1MBPS!

Tried in different areas; same problem.
Seems like the network is under par.
