They should just keep the Hotmail name.

Gmail with Mozilla Thunderbird pretty much sums up my email preferences.

Switched today and it seems a lot faster than Hotmail, like the new Metro look also.

It's just a bit of a shlep to change your email address on everything (I know that people can still send to your Hotmail address).

After a long line of cross-branding and naming screw-ups that just confuse most of their users, I really thought they would have learnt.

Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Live Mail, Outlook.com...

all very different platforms.

When they say they are using hotmail, they actually mean that other gay site that sounds like hot male.

But all in all, I like it - looks very good.

Also, you can let it import your GMail and even connect your Google Contacts to it - which works quite well.
