Goodbye WebAfrica, hello Vox or CW?

Put in my months notice and moving on from UNCAPPED (very limited day time use else you move on to the next 'dreaded' star rating very quickly) at the end of next month.

Was excited to try out Vox with the awesome roll over and free 6am to 12am, but now I'm hearing alot about terrible latency on gaming, and I game often, so this is troubling? Can anyone shed any light on this or know of another possible fix coming out as the last one apparently didn't work?

Then we have CW, a company I've only heard good things about, but still new in the business and they just don't have that roll over which is a big win on Vox's side and they slightly more pricey than Vox.

Any words of wisdom from the mybb users?
 
Just check what your usage is from Webafrica and get a capped product that suits this amount.

I'm on a 300gig Axxess capped account with a 10mb/s line and game a lot. I haven't had any lag or ping problems to any servers and I have p2p max download speed (900kb/s+) any time of the day or night, which I haven't got on other products. Then again on their uncapped account I haven't had a worse experience, 12kb/s at peak times p2p.

I also have Vox fibre at work and we don't have any ping problems but this isn't on gaming and p2p speeds are crazy at any time.

Most people that complain about anything internet related usually don't know much about how they get their internet. They then blame their ISP when the problem is generally with Telkom and the copper to their house.

If you like the Vox package get it on a month to month contract and by the 25th if you don't like it cancel and go somewhere else.

I think that would be the best bet, if I'm not happy, I'll just move on to CW and try there package out.
 
I love VOX but personally I don't like these threads as you just get fan boys replying.
Try out both and see for yourself.

May want to consider doing this the other way around, as with us (Crystal Web) you can cancel same month on condition the cancellation is sent before the 19th, and with Vox there is a standard 30 day notice period:

3.2. If the customer is a juristic person, at the expiry of the initial period, unless
otherwise notified in writing to the customer, the services and the agreement shall
continue automatically on the terms contained in this agreement for an unlimited
number of renewal periods, unless terminated by the customer, on expiration of
the initial period or a renewal period, as the case may be, by giving the supplier a
written notice of termination not less than 30 and not more than 90 days before the
expiration of the initial period or renewal period, as the case may be.

At present I'm having some issues with slowness and latency and I'm getting passed back and forth between Vox and Telkom like a parcel.

Perhaps wait a while until their network stabilises.

Well I joined you guys yesterday and I must say it's absolute friggin magic, like Afrihost was a year ago and probably better.
I'm sure CW is just as good but it's your roll over option that got me :)
 
Either or really.

I have accounts with both and have zero complaints. By far the best ISPs around. With the best support I might add.
 
Have you seen a vox application form? Requires 3 months bank statements, proof of address... This alone put me off.

Eh? Signed up online in less than 15minutes...and it only took that long because I was eating a sandwich at the time.

I was done and dusted in 15 minutes all online.
You must have a record or something :D
