Goodbye William Nicol Drive

The ANC in Johannesburg says that the city has started the process of changing the name of William Nicol Drive to Winne Mandela Drive.

Is this like the ANC changing the name of Port Elizabeth to Gqberha. But when you receive your municipal bill it has Nelson Mandela Metropole & Port Elizabeth on it.

One thing I've noticed.... Everything these days has to be named after a politician with "struggle credentials" nothing is every named for engineers, Sportsmen/women, artists, writers, business people. These are people who unify a country, not divide it, its a shame considering the country ranks right at the top globally when it comes to these stars and icons, but the names are named for the lowest in society, politicians.

It telling in that these people are inward, looking starring at themselves in the mirror, no one in their eyes deserves any praise. It's no wonder that much less is done and a lot is always. Im not even talking about streets only, we would never have George Storrar the engineer nevermind Putcoton or Sasolburg if these guys were in charge then.
