Google acquiring Titan Aerospace

Interesting to see who finally brings broadband to rural communities - help coming from the most unlikely sources

I thought Facebook bought them... But i prefer the mighty Google to acquire TA

Amazing. Five years ago I would have thought this an April fool's story. Imagine little helicopters all over the place transmitting interwebs and staying up there for five years.
That is probably until one of them fall on someone's head.

I can picture a phone call from the CEO of Titan Aerospace to Zuckerberg today.

'Hey man. Thanks. They just finalized the paperwork. We are now a Google subsidiary and back in the black.
I really appreciate you playing along. I mean, they really believed that Facebook would buy us.
I owe you one. Next beer is on me.'

I have seen vids of these drones (staying fixed in one geographical region) in action. They have GPS and nip up and down chasing after the sun so they generate the best power. They are comparatively cheap to build and cheap to run, based on the ROI.

This tech is without a doubt the best way forward. How extremely bad weather is dealt with is another discussion however.
