I'm running MyBB and using google apps for one of my websites. We decided to offer users an @domain.co.za email address.

One of the users that requested an address, subsequently changed his email address for his account on the forum to his new @domain.co.za email address. I received his change notification (was addressed to him, not like it was sent to me, the admin, for approval).

I also receive all his thread subscription notifications. Anyone have any clue as to why this is?

What I've checked:
  1. Email address is valid, he receives other emails, no problem.
  2. Catch-all is disabled, mail will bounce back.
  3. Address on his profile on the forum database is correct.
  4. Subscription is correctly referencing his user id, not mine.

Need help from you

First of all i am very sorry for not having any solution for u. Instead i need ur help. As u quoted u r using google apps for ur mybb forum, i also used google apps for same mybb. but i got struck in using gmail to send normal mails or activation mails from my forum. If u could give me the directions to configure gmail for my mybb forum, it would be very much grateful to u.

carudden : Check that MAYBE there isn't an auto-forward on his email address.. or that its not an alias...

What on earth? Could you repeat that, in English this time.

Actually none of the mails are going out from forum. There is a problem with the settings i did. So pls tell me the solution for that

Problem was resolved. I had forgotten (doh!) to disable the mail service on the web host - so emails sent out by the web host were being handled locally.. never hitting the MX records.
