Google bringing hearing aid support to Android

Google has published an open specification in partnership with GN Hearing to cater to users who use hearing aids.

In its announcement, the company cited World Health Organisation data which states that 466 million people worldwide have disabled hearing loss – with this number expected to increase to 900 million by 2050.
