Fellow Devs, as some of you will know, I use Buzz to share interesting articles, tit-bits, etc. To enhance my own experience (I can't find all the good stuff), I follow other developers keen on doing the same thing.

I invite you to follow me, or give (PM) me your Google name if you do the same - I am always learning, and I can't stress enough the value of a good dev community that works together.

Those of you that have already done this (murraybiscuit, FarligOpptreden), thanks. I enjoy reading your posts, and have a good laugh at times. :)

I also use Twitter, but to a lesser degree (mainly because it's blocked from work, but also because Buzz is a richer interface). I'd be interested to hear from you all which you prefer, and why.

Yeah I go too busy and stop checking in..... :( Google Wave seems got canned anyway...

Mhm. My thoughts exactly. Buzz is right there by my Gmail, so much easier to check up on. I'm going to check and see if any of the big guns use Buzz.

@WiT8litZ: You can have Buzz republish your tweets. As for usage, yeah. As pointed out, not all of us have access to twitter from where we spend most of our waking moments - and checking it on my phone while manually typing in URLs becomes a bit much.

I actually check my Gmail almost exclusively on my phone these days, so I don't get around to Buzz much... I checked and there aren't any decent Buzz apps/widgets for Android yet. Maybe if I get a decent one (comparable to the Facebook app that's part of LauncherPro Plus) I'd consider "Buzzing" more.

It is a pity about Wave, yes... It was kinda fun in the beginning, especially if we were on at the same time.

Have you tried
  • the official Google Buzz client for Android
  • buzz.google.com (Just type buzz.google.com in the phone's browser and you will be able to login and enjoy Buzz in all its glory. From here you can view the stream of buzz posts, comment on posts or even produce your own post both public and privately.)
  • Seesmic for Android - supports not only (multiple) twitter accounts, but Buzz too (real-time updates).

I checked out the official Buzz client, but I could only post to Buzz and not view a live stream of my Buzz "posts" (what is the official term anyways?). I'd like something integrated into the phone without having to open the browser every time... I'll check out Seesmic though, haven't looked at it.

i disabled that abomination thing called buzz the second it was released.

will join up this evening perhaps. Sounds like an idea.

EDIT: actually, buzz doesn't sound like something i'll use. Just another online social medium i'll have to manage. what are the links to the blogs u guys have? I don't have a blog yet, but may start one as well.

Don't have one either, which is weird. I have loads to say and I make websites for other people quite regularly, so I don't know why I don't make my own... :p
