Google Chrome Defaults to Yahoo Search

So for a few days now every time I start up Google Chrome it defaults to yahoo search when you type the search term in the address bar.

I can set the default to Google search and then delete Yahoo from the list of search engines and then then next time I start up Chrome it goes back to Yahoo. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome as well - didn't help!

Please help me it's so annoying!

You must have some other software installed (maybe an extension) that does this. I'd take a look at all the installed software on my system if i were you.

EDIT: I found this and this. Looks like it might be a trojan or malware.

I have no extensions - and no Yahoo software...

Then it's probably some form of malware. Did you take a look at those links?
