For anyone interested I've got a few credits for testing Google Cloud Platform. Please PM if interested

Anyone who wants more information on what Google Cloud Platform can provide, please pm me

Im just curious as to their Tech certifications, are they worth anything?
is there any demand right now for any of them?

So, they bringing out their new Tech certification towards June like SysOps, Big Data etc. They phasing out the old system. So to answer your question, no they not worth anything yet but as more companies use Google Cloud Platform, they might be valuable (just like amazon).

Many of my customers want to move from Amazon to Google due to Google's lower cost and higher speeds.

So what is the better platform?
Aws or google?
Also what's easier to learn on? What's more fault tolerant?
Especially here in SA with our 3rd world internet......

There is no better platform. It's like saying which one do you prefer Windows or Mac OS? It's really up to which one you really feel comfortable with.

I think it's easier to learn Google Cloud because their documentations are better (it's Google remember).

Also Google has front-end web servers in South Africa so you can cache your cloud content locally. Remember YouTube and Google Search runs on Google Cloud Platform :)

If you interested in learning Google, PM me and I could arrange some classes for you.

Source?

AWS is cheaper, but if you choose the wrong DC your download speed is VERY slow. Plus with AWS you have to build everything up and learn their systems etc... Google is ace, and easy to use, but is a bit more expensive.

Im shopping around for a cloud platform for an application we're setting up and having local presence would be great. However, according to the Google Cloud Platform location map, they don't seem to have any african locations.... Can provide a source to your comment above?

Anyone wants us to introduce them to the Google Cloud Platform? Please PM me
