Google+ dominated by men

Men are just faster on the uptake when it comes to new technical things, where woman rather go with what they know.

My wife will probably never join unless I do it for her, tho I also signed her up to face book all those years ago too.

geez it has been less than a month, way too early to track trends.

At this point it's mostly going to be tech guys but as they bring their friends and family on board there will be more accurate stats.

Why do they make invite only? Does the make it more exclusive?
They probably don't want the whole world flooding in on the same day. This way ''entrance'' there is slower & probably won't make their servers fall over..

The growth will be slow, if you are planning on taking facebook on then do it. Google is not small they should surely have enough money for servers.

Just seems slow and i would imagine it will be gone within 6 months.

if I remember properly. This is the beta phase. They are probably ironing out snags & will after that go live for all the easily join

I don't really dominate Google+...does that mean I'm not a man?

Its still in testing and open to invites only. This would go to technically minded people most first... Give this another year, then do the trend again if G+ is still around... Until then, no point in something like this.

Har har :D

But ya, I don't see how it's surprising. Women, like old people, go with the tried and trusted. It'll take an awful amount of time to customise a new profile to the same level as a FB one, as well as adding all your existing friends. Most people just wouldn't bother.

Yeah not really surprised considering its invites only at this stage. Also I think it might be more difficult to lure women away from facebook than men.

Gmail used the same system back in the day and seemed to work back then when everyone was on Hotmail/Yahoo so guess its fine. On my side all the people I wanted on are there so dont have any complaints

Something Odd I started noticing on Google searches.... I see more and more reporters G+ profiles on the right popping up when doing searches.
