Google introduces the Googlebook, an Android-based laptop

Something like 75% of their revenue comes from ads, it used to be higher as well. So yea they are basically an ad company and have always been
I have no problem with ads. But they have so much data on people yet most of their ads are irrelevant. How is a "YES QUEEN STAY DRY WHILE BLEEDIN'" ad relevant to a middle aged white man? Men do not get periods. @FiestaST where's your period lollies post?

Google used to be great, and most of their services too, but they have become so obsessed with placing ads everywhere that it sometimes break the actual product.

Even Gmail doesnt load right anymore and when it does it takes ages because its loading ads for you to sign up for premium business email.

Google said that Googlebooks would launch in the fall
Surprised they'd forgoing the back-to-school market. Then again kids probably want Neos, mine did.

I would be interested, but I'm not going to buy something called a "Googlebook". Idiotic.

So because MB Neo uses iOS now there is a laptop running Android.

Fair enough.

The Neo runs MacOS.

EDIT: it uses some of the same hardware as the iPhone - specifically the Apple A18 Pro chip.

Which is the Apple equivalent of a glorified phone. It's running on the same hardware.

Na, I don't get ads unless its built into the video - but you can still skip those.
There are other benifits like being able to lock your screen and still be able to listen to the video.
Plus multi screen and downloads
