Google Maps can now share your battery life

:D

1. Win 10 doesn't do that.
2. Google Maps isn't an operating system.

Respectfully:

1. Windows10 is an operating system with built-in spyware enabled by default that one has to sukkel one's arse off to try and disable.

2. Agreed, Google Maps is not an operating system, apparently it aspires to be a battery status monitor that wants to push unsolicited and boring status updates to the user's contacts.

1) You can easily switch those things off during installation.

2) You can choose who to share your location with - this is not happening 24/7 unless you explicitly set it up that way.

My one colleague's fiancé often has to travel long distances - and she uses it to make sure that he gets there safely - so if the signal disappears (as it did not too long ago) she gets worried especially if he's unable to answer the phone - knowing the battery status would be immensely useful.

Now google needs to add the option to show signal strength too :p
